It’s not what you think… She doesn’t ‘take me down’ as in some kind of cosmic wrestling move. Rather, the move is inward and ‘downward’ as in depth-of-consciousness. I have been more still, working my inner world and inner life. Shaping my sacred practices. Working both the sacred and the taboo. More like a trip into the ‘underworld’ or ‘otherworlds’.
Every Venus incarnation surprises me. Many of them have been on-topic for the sign that she is in, but not all of them have been as obvious as one might think:
Every Venus incarnation surprises me. Many of them have been on-topic for the sign that she is in, but not all of them have been as obvious as one might think:

Venus in Gemini had me shopping (not learning, talking, or running lots of errands)
Venus in Cancer had me ‘nesting’ and nurturing (as might be expected)
Venus in Leo had me playing and creating (exactly as expected!)
Venus in Virgo had me tidying up & organizing (pretty typical)
Venus in Libra had me playing the devoted ‘Queen-Wife’ (this one was a bit of a new angle for me!)
Venus in Scorpio has had me doing ‘sacred work’ (similar to what is expected, and oh-so-sweet)
One example of Venus in Scorpio’s sorcery was the amazing Winter Gala affair at Be Space in Portland, OR called The Blue Dragon Ball. All were invited to “Dress to please yourself”. And, many certainly did! We let our secret selves shine (very Venus in Scorpio during a Leo synodic cycle, if you ask me!). Then, on the very night of the Gala, as an amazing Sacred Clown Royal Offering of a song was being made by a local bard (which, itself, seemed to emerge from the depths of… somewhere deep and magical!) it happened. Venus ingressed into Scorpio at the moment the fun began: after the schmoozing, before the dancing, during the offerings and surrealist-style ‘games’ involving magical questions and answers co-created by all of the precious participants at the Ball (all of the above invited in and pre-visioned by the Curator of Be Space, Elizabeth Russell, and brought to fruition with the help of her hand-selected creative team, including yours truly!). Venus took us down and filled us up.
Other examples of Venus at work in Scorpio include: guided visualizations with creative guides, sweet sacred circle practice with my magical sisters, and even some pretty intense lovin’ in the dark night (more like the Venus in Scorpio one might expect!). I offered Tarot card readings on the longest night of the year, I made altars (including my favorite world-wide altar: my christmas tree!), and I slowed and stilled on the inside (perhaps getting ready for any expansiveness that may be on it’s way with Venus entering Sagittarius any minute, now!). If all of that is not Venus in Scorpio to perfection, I don’t know what is!
The seasons of Venus really do seem to have such an impact on me - I recommend following along with her, yourself, if you never have! If you have any questions of how to do this, just ask! I’ll get you started in the right direction.
Sacred blessings to you!
Happy New Year!
