Venus Synodic Cycle Project Update

Let me just go ahead and say that this whole Venus thing is not panning out as initially imagined. I had thought that it would be a Project (note the capital P), but it turns out to be more of a personal practice (lowercase... twice). At any rate, it continues to delight and inspire. If it is true that things continue as they are begun, then this Venus project is right on schedule! The very first ‘event’ was an invitation broadcast to many, though it was only myself, my child, and my close, witchy friend who also has Venus in Leo who showed up! It was a delight. Perfect! Though, considerably different from what I had imagined. No matter. Venus doesn't seem to mind. She keeps on working.

So, though it has not been the outreach vehicle that I had first imagined, it has certainly fed me and my friends!

With this ‘confession’ out of the way, let’s move on to the latest couple of signs Venus has gone through and how it showed up for me (and maybe for you, too? Let me know! I’d love to hear YOUR Venus stories!!!).

Venus [in Sagittarius] Procrastinates Me

In great Sagittarius fashion, I didn’t get to my Sagittarius art outing until the very last day of her reign in the sign! I was accompanied by a friend who has Sag rising (though not Venus in Sag, still a partner in Sagittarian ‘crime’!). Of course, there was no crime involved, all we did was visit a local bronze statue of a woman who epitomizes Sagittarian themes: Sacajawea! She covers the following Sag themes: Translation, Travel, Foreign affairs, Trailblazing, etc. We got to her  just moments before Venus officially ingressed into Capricorn. It was a fun little adventure we went on, ourselves, to find her, winding through the great Forest Park to her location (we passed by the archery range on the way… another hint at the Great Archer, Sagittarius!).

This was not the only thing I procrastinated on during this time… Gift-making and gift-giving, for example, were among the procrastinated activities (some of which STILL have yet to be resolved! - though that is likely a retrograde mercury issue, more than anything else - but, that be a topic for some other blog post), and even some delayed gift-receiving (mainly from my Sagittarian family members, actually!). Gifting being expressions of love and care - Venus themes!

Other Venus-in-Sag themes or experiences might include:
philosophy, religion, higher education, self-expansion of any sort, pilgrimage, etc.

Venus [in Capricorn] Clears My Clutter

For Venus in Capricorn, my conceptualization had been some kind of Crone Circle or gathering of grandmothers… But I guess Venus had other plans for me. Turns out that I was a clutter-clearing madwoman! It was awesome. I’m not done, yet, but Venus in Cap really had me going! Mainly, I used a method similar to the one I describe in my previous post about A Fun Way to Clear Clutter. In fact, it was so useful and effective, that I will shortly be writing a second post on clearing clutter using my new method! I will leave you looking forward to that for now…

And to whatever Venus in Aquarius has in store for us! What will it be? Humanitarian efforts? Involvement in communities of friends? Making friends? Breaking friendships? Revolution?! Who knows. We. Shall. See.

Happy Spring to youall!

If you missed my Spritely Welcome to Springtime, I suggest you see it here! It’s short and sweet and Springy!

Sunshine & flowers, stars & planets, light & love to all!
